Important POA Meeting Updates
Based on member feedback, and in light of the unprecedented crisis that we are facing as a community with COVID-19, Founders Bridge Property Owners Association, Inc.’s (the “Association”) Board of Directors has decided to adjust plans for the meetings scheduled this month. Please read this message in its entirety to understand the changes.
Annual Meeting Update
The Annual Meeting of members scheduled for April 20, 2020 will be postponed until June 16, 2020. We will send a new announcement with updated details regarding this this meeting via email and regular mail soon.
Special Meeting Update
The Special Meeting of members scheduled for April 20, 2020 will be postponed until June 16, 2020. We will send a new announcement with updated details regarding this this meeting via email and regular mail soon.
The purpose of the Special Meeting is for members to vote on a change to the Association’s bylaws to allow collection of a capital contribution from buyers of previously owned homes in Founders Bridge. The amount of the contribution would be set at ½ of the annual Association dues at the time of the Sale.. This change would help fund ongoing repairs and improvements in Founders Bridge, and would apply only after approval by 2/3 of members.
The Board recommends a “Yes” vote for the amendment.
Regular Meeting Update
Starting on April 20, 2020, and until further notice, Regular meetings of the Association’s Board of Directors may be attended using video and audio-conferencing technology that can be accessed from traditional telephones, smartphones, laptops and tablets. The meeting on April 20 will begin at 6 p.m.
In accordance with restrictions on public gatherings in the State of Virginia, the meeting will be held at the Community Center, but all members are encouraged to dial-in to the meeting via Zoom video and audio conferencing technology that can be accessed from traditional telephones, smartphones, laptops and tablets. Please join the meeting from a safe location. Members are encouraged not to attend meetings in person until further notice. The Association will make reasonable accommodations for modified, in-person attendance for those who cannot dial-in to the meeting. Anyone in attendance at the meeting is encouraged to socially distance themselves by staying at least six feet away from all other attendees.
Instructions for joining Association meetings remotely using Zoom are attached to this email. Several test calls will be available for members to validate they can successfully join a meeting using this method.
